|As a small child Eli once cast a demon out of a man. Since that day he had dedicated his life to trying to discovering how he had done it and to gaining that ability again. During his journey to discovery he had taken on the identity of a magician to earn money. He had become a master of trickery and illusions. As he traveled from town to town and village to village he would use his talents to entertain the people and to make enough money to live. It wasn't until destiny brought Xena and Gabby into his life that he learned the truth of who he was and what he was fated to do. While performing his magic act in a town in India he had the chance to meet Xena and Gabby. It was during this time that he joined forces with Xena to defeat Gabby who had been possessed by a demon. It was during this battle that the truth about him came to light. The power to cast demons out had always been apart of him and he was a Devi. After Gabby had been rescued, Eli decided to travel on his own for a while to figure out what he wanted to do with his gift and his life. It was during this time that he discovered his gifts were not limited to casting out demons but he could also heal the sick and wounded. He also learned his way in the world which was that of Love and Peace. It would become his crusade in life to bring his teachings and his gifts to the people. By the time he met up with Xena and Gabby again he had gained a rather large following and word of his teachings had begun to spread. He had become more than a Devi he was know an Avatar and his journey was not over yet. In the months to follow he would turn Gabby to the way of Love and his beliefs would be challenged by the Demon King, Indrajit as well as Caesar and his men. But Eli's faith was strong and the true purpose of his life had begun. His followers grew in number and spread to Rome, Greece and Africa. After witnessing the death and miraculous rebirth of his closest friends, Xena and Gabby, the true meaning of his crusade came to light. Under the guidance of Heaven, in the form of Angel Callisto, Eli would realize that his purpose was to liberate the people from the dictatorship of the Gods. His teaching about peace and love soon began to encompass a belief that the people did not need the Gods to lead them and that they could control their own lives. This soon caught the attention of Ares who feared that this new movement could be the beginning of the down fall of the Gods, known as the Twilight of the Gods. As the threats of death came from Ares, Eli began to question his crusade but the Angel Callisto helped him to see that what was to come was part of a higher plan and his death at Ares' hands was destine. He would move on to a higher purpose and his death would be the beginning of a new area for man kind. With this knowledge, and the support of Heaven, Eli confronted Ares with Love and was killed in front of all of his followers. Eli became an Angel to be reborn in the karmic circle and his death served to make his teachings and crusade even stronger and more influential.|
